Bali Travel Tips - Car And Motorcycles Rental In Bali
|

Renting a car is a good alternative to get around Bali, either self-driving, or with a driver so you can relax and enjoy the view. Tip the driver some pocket money for meals if you stop for lunch or dinner. If you are pleased with his service, tip (Rp.20.000 minimum) at the end.
When self-driving, ensure that you have a valid Tourist, Indonesian or International Driving License. Test-drive the car before you pay anything in advance and take insurance coverage for vehicle damages.
Motorcycle
Motorcycles are convenient and an inexpensive way to get around the Bali island, but tourists are frequently injured in motorbike accidents. If you decide to rent a bike, drive slowly and be very defensive. Law requires helmets but those provided by rental agencies offer little protection. The cost of motorbike hiring is negotiable, varying the condition of the bike, length of rental and the time of year. You should have an International Driving Permit valid for Motorcycles.
